So, what do I do right now?
I am currently learning all things related to data science, I have recently finished the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate to gain an insight of using data as a whole. I enjoy spending my time learning programming languages, as you can see this website was made using my front end skills I have learned. I also enjoy learning a lot of back end languages such as python and R that will be helpful in the world of Data Science. I have created a python program that helps me tailor fit my CV according to job descriptions which you can find here. I am looking to turn my interests in data science into a career where I can then learn about more advance concepts of data science such as Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing.
What I used to do.
In my last job I worked as a laboratory analyst at Tate and Lyle where my main responsibility was:
- Routine test samples and analysis of results
- Attend project meetings and provide details on required tests and reasonable timeframes
- Communicate with department's project stakeholders to maintain good progress
- Explain results to project stakeholders
- Resolve customer complaint samples and provide possible explanations for product defects
